We operate two polyurethane systems within our process:-

• For non-fire rated applications, our standard polyurethane edging system is a low viscosity polyurethane elastomer with a Shore hardness of 80A (medium soft rating) giving a comfort feel to our edges. This system boasts a quick gel time of between 5 to 10 minutes, allowing swift de-mould times and rapid part changeovers.
• For fire rated applications, we have made signficat investment over recent years developing our own FR polyurethane edging system that is compliant to EN 45545-2:2013+A12015 meeting requirements set R22 and R23 for Hazard Levels HL1, HL2 and HL3, and 49 CFR Section 238.103(c)(3) for Fire Safety.  As with our non-fire rated system, our FR system has a Shore hardness of 80A (medium soft rating) with quick gel times to allow rapid part changeovers.

The lifespan of our polyurethane edged products goes beyond the warranty we place on them, and this is evidenced by the products which are still in use today after continued years of service.

The polyurethane systems we have adopted are made from crop renewable sources grown in the developing world. In India alone, the exporting of this crop represents approximately 15% of their national GDP.

There are no Volatile Organic Compounds in the production of polyurethane which have been replaced by clean, water based products. As a finished product, our polyurethane products are inert (nuetral) and as such do not allow micro-biotic growth, which means they offer an anti-batcerial hermetical seal.

Our polyurethane can be incinerated which allows us to dispose of non-conforming or obsolete items through our shredder or burner system. This process can be done without emitting any harmful pollutants into the atmosphere.
